If you've ever wondered what goes into preparing for a porn shoot, allow me to fill you in. Not everyone goes through the same steps. Hell, some people don't go through any steps (and it usually shows). So, in no particular order, here's a list of11 things guys (particularly myself) do before a porn shoot. I'm sure everyone has their own ritual, but these are just some of the things I go through. It's a tough life, but someone's gotta do it….
- WAKE UP
You don't want to show up on set looking like you just rolled out of bed (because you did). Puffy eyes and and feeling/looking groggy is never cute, regardless of how much you think it is that day. Personally, I get out of bed no less than 4 hours before needing to be on set. That allows me to eat and hit the gym and look fresh for the shoot.
- EAT
You should always eat. It takes 6-8 hours for food to pass through your stomach and small intestine. So other than being a diva and thinking some scrambled eggs are going to make you look fat, there's no reason not to eat prior.
- GYM
One last workout before your shoot isn't going to make you pack on anymore muscle for the shoot, but it does get your blood flowing and definitely helps wake you up, which is important if it's really early in the morning. It does fill your muscles with more blood, making you look bigger/more vascular, so that always helps.
- CLEANING OUT
If you're bottoming (or just like to always be prepared), douching is one of the more important things of your getting ready process. Porn can make sex look pretty and perfect….but we all know that's not always the case in real life. So when you're getting fucked for 2-3 hours, making sure everything is good to go down there couldn't be more important.
- SHAVING YOUR BODY
First of all, NO. Just no. If you shave your body, stop. Did I mention NO? But if you do shave, either know what you're doing, or don't do it the night before and show up the next day with razor burn and bumps. No bueno.
- SHOWER
- YOUR SKIN
Everyone wants flawless skin. Unfortunately, not everyone has it. If you have a zit you think you can "get rid of" right before the shoot, you're wrong.
- DON'T JERK OFF
There's no reason to not jerk off a week prior to a shoot, but if you have the will power, at least give it 2 days. I've never seen anyone complain about a huge load ;)
- HYDRATE
Drinking plenty of water is essential for everyday life, but more so before and during a shoot. Ejaculate is 90% water. If someone hasn't drank any water that day, or is just dehydrated, well, do the math. Having to pee every 20 minutes can be annoying, but the money shot at the end will make it all worth it.
- GETTING DRESSED
One "trick" I learned is to not put on underwear until you're on set and ready to start. Since the person you're fucking is going to spend the majority of his day down there, you want to make sure you're completely dry and fresh. And jumping out of the shower, quickly drying off, then throwing on some tight underwear could prevent that from happening.
- YOUR ATTITUDE
A positive attitude on set makes everyone happy and the day that much more enjoyable. A negative attitude only makes nobody want to be around you. Personally, I'd rather fuck my Fleshjack than someone with a shitty attitude on set. But that's just me. After all, you're getting laid AND paid….so smile.

since you're a major proponent for safe sex, I'd love to see a video of you following your checklist, particularly the secrets of a proper anal douching. Is there a real big difference between anal douches and enemas?
